The Craters Fire

Ages pass and once again a life
With strange outlook and tempered circumstance
By crater lake with simple grassland wife
But nowhere in the mind the thought of chance

The crater fire still burns in deep below
In every lakeside step this heat is known
Whose shimmering waters light a mystic glow
That in the heart feels to be like home

The shading tree a pew for water’s fire
As lifetimes merge in water’s love-filled blur
We stood at lakeside shore with hearts a pyre
To our love’s united sense of Her

I saw your lakeside smile at golden shrine
And felt your inner taste as mystic wine
