Where Rivers Meet

Sitting near a sheen where rivers meet
Their force and white a flow from heaven’s height
I felt your hand aflame as foaming heat
Below us coursed the river’s living light

We bathed beside her rocks of holy shape
Held in temple-arms of twinkling shine
Together we perceived a female nape
From where she held us close in curling line,

Centered in its path now full from rain
Sat our offered hearts in silent red
We felt as incense lit and chant’s refrain
Calling for Descent as once was said

Where rivers meet eternal love is sealed
When uniting love is self-revealed
